Design for urban transformation
Energy Consumption
BRIEF

In the broader framework of Public Policy and Design, the elective course Science and Liberal Arts, provided us with an opportunity to study the challenges of urbanization in India from the socio-economic and design perspective. It allowed us to apply the learnings of design in a more hands on way to solve the problem of shelter, mobility (transportation), sanitation, energy, safety and resilience etc. in order to bring urban transformation.

The aim of the project was to innovate practical design solutions for a real social challenge.

The below mentioned project addressed the issues related to energy consumption in urban areas of India. The energy resource studied was electricity and the context was of an educational institute campus.
