Service design live project

Trees & Toes

BRIEF

This project started by trying to identify a relevant gap in the day-to-day life of people that could be addressed by a service intervention. Lifestyle and habits of people in and around NID, Gandhinagar campus were studied through observations, reflections, interviews, secondary study, and discussions. The relevant scope of the intervention was then identified and validated.

One of the most prominent gaps came out to be the disconnect with nature in the lives of urban dwellers. Hectic schedules, increasing concrete jungles and lack of awareness about the benefits of nature came to be some of the reasons why people overlooked the value of interacting with nature. Team Trees & Toes conceptualized and prototyped a service catering to this gap and ran it successfully for 7 days in the NID, Gandhinagar campus.
